FCDC diver Faith Zaharias was given an opportunity of a lifetime this summer. Nominated by the Canadian Olympic Committee, she was chosen by the Pan America Games committee to be one of many torch bearers during the opening ceremony of the 2015 Pan Am games held in Toronto, Ontario.  She received the torch from a relay team made up of former Canadian Olympic gold medal winning springers (Donovan Bailey, Glenroy Gilbert, Robert Exmie, Carlton Chambers and Bruny Surin).  From there, she placed the torch into a holder at the front of the stage where the torch remained for the duration of the event.  Faith’s role in the Pan Am games is an inspiration to all young athletes. Believe in your dream and make it happen!
