Several FCDC divers got right back into the swing of things post Christmas Break.

FCDC diver Katelyn Fung was invited to attend a Dive Canada High Performance Athlete Training Camp in Montreal, Que. Katelyn and 11 Other children group C/D from across Canada spent 5 days training at the Olympic Pool where 2016 Olympic hopefuls Jennifer Abel and Rosalie Filion trains on a regular basis. This pool is equipped with water belts which assist divers in learning new dives.

Five FCDC divers met up with 7 others from across Canada to total 12 divers in attendance for the Canada Games Training Camp taking place in Toronto, ON at the TPASC pool. The Canada Games are to take place in 2017.

Training camps are very beneficial. It affords the divers the time to focus solely on dive training eliminating any distractions for a period of 5-7 days. FCDC is proud to have their divers invited to various training camps around the world. Next training camp: FCDC takes on China!
